Headed out uptown.
Spinning flowing round and round.

Need and want turn a phrase
Venue for staged plays
Nothing yielding days and days.

Stripped down skin and bone
Sweat yields hidden tone.
New again a skill to hone.

Racing heart, pumping blood.
End the night, end the flood.

When shouts and roars a field surround and fill
The echoed call and endless glories thrill.
Herclean might was tempered by the one
Whose wisdom changed the course of struggle done.

Good sage did smite his foe without his arm
His troops he moved across the field with charm.
Career now ends with trophy haul in tow
The man who taught the world that he could throw.

The dawn broke on a frenzied plain that day,
Whose echoing thoughts did fact and truth to say.
A solemn wit was conquered in the snow,
And came to pass as autumn's season grows.
Though tempest folly joins their marching band
A lark descends upon the monarch's land.
Caroused he sings a tune of mottled grey,
And hails the word of ever better play.
